29. Social Responsibility
Any company, firm or industry have a social responsibility with the community and with their company. Social responsibility is an ethical theory, in which individuals are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty; the actions of an individual must benefit the whole of society. In this way, there must be a balance between economic growth and the welfare of society and the environment (Pachamama Alliance, 2016).
Here in Colombia many companies, private or public, have a social responsibility especially the public companies because they have a population in its back. For the private companies this social responsibility is taken as a strategy that may create a more competitive advantage against other firms (Emprendepyme, 2016).
Finally, our industry has a really important social responsibility with all the society that bought our product and our responsibility is to generate a better feeding habits offering natural products without artificial preservatives.
