EUROPEAN- COLOMBIAN RELATIONSHIPS
In the relations that are given by the countries, there is a big group of countries that in association can have some commercial relations with Colombia, and all of them become important partners of it.
“Por parte de la Unión Europea, el Parlamento Europeo aprobó el Acuerdo el 11 de diciembre de 2012, y posteriormente notificó la culminación de sus trámites internos para la aplicación provisional del Acuerdo el 27 de febrero de 2013.
Por el lado de Colombia, el trámite interno para su aprobación en el Congreso de la República inició en el mes de noviembre de 2012, hasta el 5 de junio de 2013, finalizando con la sanción del Presidente Juan Manuel Santos, mediante la Ley 1669 del 16 de julio de 2013. Sin embargo, el Acuerdo continúa su trámite ante la Corte Constitucional.
El Presidente de la República mediante el Decreto 1513 del 18 de julio de 2013 dio aplicación provisional al Acuerdo Comercial y se notificó a la Unión Europea el cumplimiento de los procedimientos internos requeridos para tal efecto”. (MINISTERIO DE COMERCIO, INDUSTRIA Y TURISMO)
There is not only this treatment, but also a Free trade agreement (FTA) with Europe has a big significance, by helping many industries to get to exchange good with this continent.
In this way Europe had have some important relations with Colombia, by the treatments that can bring benefits for both of them; But as we are referring of one country participating in a big society of an entire continent the benefits can be even more, considering all of the economies and companies that can invest in the Colombian products.
