EUROPEAN ECONOMIC COMMUNITY

‘’The European Union is a unique economic and political partnership of its kind and consists of 28 European countries that together cover much of the continent.’’ (European Union website, the official EU website - European Commission, 2016). This Union was created with the aim of economic cooperation between Europeans to repair damage from World War II countries, this meant that countries like Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg and the Netherlands join.

A topical issue affecting our company is the withdrawal of UK EU which can affect our FTA with that country and reduce political and trade relations. The idea is that the relationship with the country is maintained and that ally is not lost because it is important for the development of our country. (El Tiempo, 2016).

This phenomenon also affects the TRM which is the basis of the price of the Colombian currency and a great reference for exporters and importers of the country. If there is an increase is an advantage for exporters who receive dollars and for a higher value of the Colombian peso, but for importers and sellers like us, affects the selling price and increases costs and expenses.
