24. Attitudes Forward Foreign People

A lot of people come to Colombia to spend their holidays but what is that magic that generates that the foreign people wants to stay more days in Colombia or come back? Well, the reason is that the Colombian population is very kind with foreign people, this is a testimony of a Hungarian person (Budapest-Bogotá, 2012). Another, more recent, testimony is about two African people that comes here to work like English teachers, their names are Mustafa and Kevin, from Senegal and Kenya, they said that love the Colombian culture and gastronomy, that is magical realism (Caracol Radio, 2016).

Nowadays, the ministry of tourism gives us their approval about the quantity of foreign people that are visiting Colombia, in 2015 the tourism rate increase 4,4%, in this year the rate between January and July is 11,18% (Mincomercio, industria y turismo, 2016).

Finally, with these rates and the testimonies we can determinate that the majority of Colombian population have a great behavior with foreign people. For our industry is very beneficial because if foreign people taste our products, the industry could have a greater international recognition and our products could be sell in other continents.
